Amber Serene

 

Was influenced by her father who is a Acupuncturist & Herbalist. In her late teens she completed her training in Swedish & Deep Tissue massage at "The Carlton Institute of Beauty Therapy". She has a warm healing touch that will help you relax, unwind and solve any aches & pains in the body. Amber furthered her education at "The College of Chinese Medicine" learning Acupressure and alternative therapies such as Auricular Acupuncture treating muscular and skeletal pain & injuries, making Herbal balms/Oils for skin conditions & pain relief. She loves to travel and experience different religious beliefs, cultures and speaks fluent Dutch and Basic Brazillian Portugues. 

 

After experiencing issues with her breathing, fertility, and suffering from neck and back pain, she decided to train as a yoga teacher to learn the importance of breathing correctly, stretching the muscles, aligning our bodies, strengthening the bones & muscles, balancing & regulating the glands & hormones through out our body. She wanted to share her knowledge and help others improve with there posture and wellbeing, introducing the importance of meditation keeping a clear mind and a healthy lifestyle.

Amber has been trained in India by Guru Padma Nair who has been Sivananda and Mysore style trained. Amber studied the roots of Yoga & Meditation, taught traditional Hatha Yoga and restorative Yin Yoga. Her calm yet energetic approach makes others feel comfortable and welcomed in her class, she has a great method of teaching benificial for everyone. She teaches regular classes at "The Laughing Buddha Retreat" held in East Sussex and helps run juicing & raw food workshops. She runs weekly classes, group & private in Hastings, London & abroad. 

Amber has held numerous workshops at festivals including Glastonbury festival and has extensive expierience working at weight loss, detox & Yoga-Meditation retreats.

After gaining plenty of expierince Amber wished to create her own retreat somewhere beautiful & peaceful and came accross Menorca and found it was such a beautiful un touched Island surrounded with lots of healing energy and love. Amber hopes for her retreats to grow and become a well deserved sacred place to revitalise and re-center returning energized, stronger more focused and helping others continue there yogic dietary intentions and keeping up a regular practice routine.

 

Amber is first aid trained and registered with Yoga Allaince UK.

Hatha Yoga is a powerful tool for transformation. 

It asks us to bring our attention to our breath, which helps us to still the fluctuations of the mind and be more present in the unfolding of each moment. Hatha Yoga means “yoga for health” It renews, invigorates and heals the body; 

stretching & strengthening the muscles, joints, spine and directing blood & oxygen to the internal organs, glands & nerves.

 

Yin Yoga usually consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body—the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer.
